WACE ATAR Mathematics

Dear Students, there are some new policy for our course. I've mentioned it in class, but let me just repeat it back:

• Starting for next week onwards, we will be using the TV, so all gadgets (phones, tablets, and laptops) will be collected. (Except some students that might need their gadget for translating stuff).
• You can request the printout of the slides if you need to write something, otherwise, please write your notes in your notebook.
• Class will be recorded starting from this week onwards. I've uploaded the class recording for last week (Class B) and this week (Both Class). (I forgot to record for Class A last week, if you really need the recap, please see Class B's).
• Our lesson format will change a bit, I will involve more practice in class based on feedback.
• Please be aware that we have homework (see Exercise Sheet) in each respective material folder each week. If I specify the number, please attempt it, otherwise, you can choose 5-10 questions that you want (for now). Please submit on the subsequent week to me on class. Students that do not do homework will be reported to school.
• We will have an exam on the end of each month. The topics tested will be the topics that we discuss in that month. For this month, the test topic will be from Chapter 1 (Nature of Proof), Chapter 16 (Combinatorics + Probability), and maybe some of Chapter 12 (Vectors), depends on how fast we can go.

Dear Students,

Thank you for completing your Placement Test on Wednesday, and following the discussion on Thursday. I hope you find the questions enjoyable, able to refresh your memory about your secondary school knowledge, and could add some (interesting) insights for you. Overall, we are happy with your good results.

Please scan your (graded) test script and upload it on this link link.stevenrahmat.com/aepplacement2026, or alternatively, you may send it to my email at STEV0036@e.ntu.edu.sg. Our teaching team will need it for our archive and reporting to school.

After the discussion with Zihao and feedback from Yuanyuan, we decided to divide the class as follows:

• Class A: CHEN Jinxiao Richard, MIN Jiayi Celeste, WANG Haobin Robin, WANG Jifeng Jack
• Class B: GU Haojun Benjamin, MA Yuanling Lancy, QU Wenxi Cindy, WANG Junyi Dolosi.

Please do not be anxious with your classes or test result. This is just to make us able to adjust our pacing for our teaching process. We will (or You can) adjust your classes accordingly, as you progress better (or if you feel the class is too fast/slow).

Our first Class will be held on the 4th of July (tomorrow) at your flat. Class A will be held at room 513, and Class B will be held at room 302. Please do pay attention to your class venue, and come to class on time (refer to the schedule below).
